Jenny Mini-Update

In the craziness of last week, I didn't get to update you on my Jenny progress. I was so overjoyed about the new administration, so I forgot to post my weekly update.

This is a mini-update about a mini-loss :)

for a total of

21.0 pounds lost!

Hooray!! Can't wait to see how it goes this week!!

Your stick-to-itiveness is impressive. How many weeks has it been? Has the meal program provided enough variety that it's not becoming dangerously boring at this point?

I can't believe I haven't yet commented on this!!! Even with a crazy week, when you could've eaten and eaten, you didn't! In fact, you LOST weight. You're so fabulous!!!!!! I love you so much!!

Hey, Marci. I have a question about challah:

I've noticed that some challot are made from more braided "strands" than others. I've seen three, four, six; and I've also seen oblong loaves, and, less frequently, circular loaves.

When we used to make lenten pretzels with our kids, we explained the symbolism of the three holes as representing the holy trinity, so I'm just wondering if there is any significance to the number of strands of dough in a challah, and why they're sometimes formed into circles.
