These are a few of my favorite.... words....

I've been actively compiling a list of my most favorite words. You know what I mean - the kind of words that are so fun to say, that become alive in your mouth and nearly take on an existence of their own. And some of them are just really exciting to put into use. So, here's my current list, in no particular order (and, of course, you just have to let me know what you think is missing).

- doppelganger
- poppycock
- incognito
- artisanal
- myriad
- lackadaisical
- exegetical
- pomposity
- transmigration
- tenderizer
- paradigmatic
- pulchritude

Well, that's what I've got for now. What should I add?

I'm partial to loquacious, menagerie, virtuoso, efferescence, and mahogany, myself.

That last word is my favourite.

P-U-L-C-H-R-I-T-U-D-E

I recently used it - well, the adjective version P-U-L-C-H-R-I-T-U-D-I-N-O-U-S - in an argument with a friend.

Guess who won that argument?

*beaming with geek pride*

For some unknown reason the word MAESTRIANA (woman maestro) is fascinating. Weird, can't help it.

And football has a nice ring. F-O-O-T-B-A-L-L. Fascinating.

Gotcha

Yiddish words are truly the best, because they sound like Klingon.

This is why Jewish food never sounds appealing. Do you want to eat something that sounds like you're a moment away from hacking a lung?!

I also endorse any words Mr. Burns brings out like, "Balderdash!"
